A simple way to improve your health is to remove all grains from your diet. Many peoples bodies do not process grains very well.
This is understandable considering how hybridised and genetically modified today’s modern grains are.
Modern day grains are significantly different to the grains our ancestors ate. They are in essence freaks of nature compared to the past.
Grains have binding properties. By their very nature they draw minerals and other substances from our bodies. They require extra nutrients to digest and therefore tax the system. Long term consumption of grains day in day out will almost certainly lead to problems.
Excessive grain consumption can lead to leaky gut syndrome and other disorders. This will further decrease your digestion ability. The grain consumption and digestion disorder feed off of each other making the situation worse. This can easily lead to nutrient deficiencies which leads to more problems! Don’t let it get out of hand.
Grains are a cheap carbohydrate source but there are better sources. Fruit is a fast digesting carb and full of nutrition. Sweet potatoes and other starchy root vegetables are also a good source of slower burning starch carbohydrates.
